System Design Advantage LLC and Choice Logistics Inc. are teaming up to provide an integrated logistics and service parts/repair solution. The new services will include central stock inventory, dedicated on-site inventory, field inventory, repair and replenishment.
System Design Advantage (SDA) provides parts replenishment and repair services, supporting manufacturers like IBM and HP with emergency spare parts distribution and inventory asset management services. Partnering with Choice will provide same-day availability by integrating SDA's inventory into Choice's logistics network.
“SDA customers are recognizing the immense value to be gained in augmenting current inventory and logistic infrastructures," said Jim Sahli, founder and CEO of SDA. “This alliance broadens our service capabilities by enabling us to integrate Choice's proven logistics management network and with SDA’s enterprise-wide inventory management strategy.”
"The complementary combination of SDA's asset management experience and Choice's logistics network in the mission-critical spare parts industry will create real value to our collective and future client base,” said Rob Kass, president of Choice Logistics. “This unprecedented alliance will enable companies to rapidly build and exploit lucrative opportunities, enabling them to precede the next curve in the emerging service economy.”
The alliance combines SDA's advanced emergency spare parts distribution services, depot repair facility, worldwide presence and partnerships with Choice’s logistics and IT infrastructure, which includes same-day availability, real-time control and global visibility.
"The standard for parts replenishment is next business day delivery," Sahli said. "With Choice, we can provide global, same-day delivery."
SDA will integrate Choice’s logistics infrastructure and the Choice parts management platform with existing SDA solutions and deploy it across its global operations in order to provide a global stocking network.
The integrated solution will enable asset management and collaboration for managing service assets throughout the lifecycle with forward and reverse logistics. The solution will be sold by both company’s global sales forces with support from a dedicated team of sales specialists.
The two companies are currently working together in seven states in the U.S. and one location in Canada, and are in discussions with several customers.
