Asset Recovery & Disposal
Customer assets received at the disposition center move through our RITA process (Receive-Inspect-Test-Audit) to test and evaluate equipment. Based on remaining life, assets can either be retired from service or refreshed.
Good equipment is cosmetically cleaned, then sorted based on equipment status. At this point, customers can choose from the following asset recovery services:
- Refresh. Equipment is configured/upgraded to current spec, placed into and inventory pool until redeployed at the customer request.
- Lease Returns are restored to the original configuration and shipped back to the lessor on behalf of the client.
- Remarketing Whole Equipment. Good equipment with market value as a whole unit is repaired/refurbished to B-stock grade and then resold into alternative channels through our remarketing sales programs.
- Demanufacture & Remarketing. Good equipment whose residual value is minimal can be evaluated for useable and workable components and then transferred into de-manufacturing - where its parts are removed and prepared for remarketing or redistribution.
- Disposal. Defective equipment or product that has no market value will be deemed unusable and funneled through the scrap program.
